Hi All! I am writing this post from my beautiful apartment in Stowe Vermont. My Hubby and I planned this pre-Christmas Vaca this past Fall. We started on our little adventure Tuesday Dec. 13 after my 2nd Ultrasound which told us I am 12wks pregnant with a beautiful and healthy Baby. My Belly is already growing fast and thankfully now I no longer have to try to hide it. :)
Our first stop on our adventure was in Bangor, ME at the Texas Roadhouse for some dinner then we headed straight through to Portland and spent 1 night there.

Wednesday Dec. 14 we drove from Portland, ME through the White Mountains in New Hampshire all the way to Stowe, VT. The drive was beautiful. When traveling I always like to be as comfortable as possible. This outfit was perfection. My Joe Fresh Sweater kept me warm enough in the white mountains and my boots are like wearing slippers which was perfect for the long drive.

In Stowe we are staying at an apartment in the Butler House Inn which beyond met our expectations. It is very romantic and cozy and was a great deal for only $99/night.

Today we went shopping and sightseeing. I found the cutest dress to wear Christmas eve for only $10(marked down from $57), went to see the Von Trapp Family Lodge(Yes the same Von Trapps as the Sound of Music), and toured Ben&Jerry's Ice Cream Factory.
Today I wanted to be warm and comfortable. We walked alot so I opted for my flat brown boots, a sweater dress, and my wool plaid coat.
Tomorrow we travel back to Portland for the night, then to Bangor Saturday night and home on Sunday. I will be doing lots of shopping in Portland, Freeport, and Bangor. Expect a post on all the great deals I find. I am off to finish enjoying my Vaca. Have a great week all.

Thought I would share with you a few of the things I am loving so far this month.

1.Decorating for Christmas

I love going all out for Christmas inside and outside the house and I also love visiting and seeing how others decorated for the holiday season.

2. Fun Nails

Have you tried these??? Sally Hansen Salon Effects go on your nails like a sticker and last a week. They look amazing on and they are on sale this week at Shoppers for $7.99.

3. Christmas Baking

This is the only time of year you will catch me baking. My favorite is doing shortbreads and decorating them.

4. Christmas Betsey Johnson Socks

I bought a few pairs last year and put a pair away with my Christmas decorations and was so excited when I came across them this year. They are so cute and fun and I just love anything Betsey.

5. Movies that get me in the Holiday Spirit

My Hubby and I went to see this movie last night and both enjoyed it. If you liked Valentines Day you will definately enjoy New Year's Eve.

Hi All! So sorry I have been MIA for a while. As many of you know I have been selling my house and it is finally SOLD. My Hubby and I moved into the Cottage we have been renovating 2 weeks ago and we FINALLY got our Fiber Op hooked up.

I apologize for not updating but between a case of the Flu, packing, moving, and no internet this month has been a tad crazy.

I am finally settled though and am getting ready to head on VACATION. A much needed vaca. My Hubby and I are heading to Stowe Vermont(see pic above) for a little pre-Christmas Vaca.

I plan on updating on our journey to and through Stowe so stay tuned. I hope you are all doing well and can't wait to visit all your blogs!

Fab Fall

The cold weather has finally hit the Maritimes. This day outside taking pics I will admit I was freezing but the thought of wearing a Winter coat before November just felt wrong. Even on the most beautiful sunny days now the cold hits you by surprise. I am determined to make it through this weekend though with lots of layering but no Winter jacket. Am I crazy...perhaps.

Since the day I started this Blog I have been raving about plaids. I love wearing plaid in the Fall/Winter months. I don't know what I will do if it ever goes out of style. These brown Old Navy Boots have served me well this Fall. They are super comfy and I have been pairing this with almost every outfit.

Autumn Bliss

Today was one of those perfect cool sunny autumn days us Maritimers wish could happen everyday. Everybody was out and about enjoying it and I couldn't wait to get pictures done on a non rainy day. Sadly the day got away from me and I didn't end up taking any pictures until tonight. I am pulling at my knee socks just to show you how fab they are. I am totally addicted to them and bought 4 pairs at the Mall this week.

I love dressing for fall and I love layering. This must be why I love knee socks. Layering them over my tights not only keeps me warm but also gives this outfit something extra.

An Uptown Affair

Last week my Sister & I shopped the night away at Fashion Forward an event put on by the Fashion Council in Sj. We arrived at Brunswick Square to here a few words from the President (of the Fashion Council), get a map of participating stores, a specialty drink, and photographed by the Telegraph Journal Paparazzi.
Then we got our Shop on. Participating stores served drinks, sweets, offered freebies and percentages off. It was the perfect night for a shopaholic like myself. The night ended at the fabulous Canterbury Lounge with a free Fashionista drink.

I was so excited when I found this necklace at Le Chateau and then only a few days later this simple black dress which I knew this necklace would go perfect with. Risingtaste-Where Scam meets Fashion

Have any of you been to risingtaste.com? If you have then like me you were lured in by beautiful dresses, amazing pictures, and unbelievable prices. Maybe like me you got so caught up in the well done website that you even signed up to advertise for them in order to receive free clothes. There website shows a long list of bloggers that have signed up so it must be legit right? Wrong. Above are two dresses I ordered from the site and beside the pretty girls in dresses is what I received. The items frankly look like a child made them with frays and bad stitching.
After I got over my Shock I decided to return them only to find out that is even more complicated. There is no number to even call just a place to email and they state they have the right to charge you for handling fees, shipping fees ect. if you return the item. So even returning is a Scam for more money.
The items I received are both actually unwearable. They are made out of different materials then stated, are sizes to small for a little girl to wear and don't even have the details listed on them.
Anybody advertising for this company please stop. Anyone who is "liking" this company on facebook please stop.
If you know anyone looking to buy or advertise for this company please direct them to here.
Sorry for the rant, I have never ever been scammed on the net before and am just in total shock by this.

Happiness is only a Smile Away

To say this has been a great week for me would be an understatement...this has been an EXCELLENT week! Our home which has been for Sale for the last few months finally SOLD. Everything won`t be finalized until the end of the month so hopefully everything goes through without a hitch. We will be moving into that cottage I have been updating you on every so often. It is going to be snug until we are able to build an extension on it (in the spring) but we will make it work.

I figured I better post a pic of me in a dress because with all the moving we have to do I probably won`t be in one for the rest of the month. Although, I did wear a dress hiking so anything is possible. This dress is one of my fav`s by Joe Fresh. It is a comfy fit and it even has pockets but is perfect for a wedding, afternoon tea, or fancy dinner date. I can`t wait to style it up for winter with black tights, black cardi and some high heel boots but til then it works perfect alone on this hot Indian Summer day.

The Bluffs

Hopefully by now you have noticed that I changed my header. Last Sunday my Fam. and I hiked to The Bluffs in Sussex. It is a little bit of a hike but at the end completely worth it. We all got some great photos.

I got some pretty funny looks when people saw me hiking in this dress on the trails. Oh the things we do for fashion. I started out with tights on, a cardigan, and a headband but it was so hot that I slowly peeled it all off and ended up with just my dress and boots.

As you can see I am definitely enjoying being outside on one of the last days of Summer. I already feel like it is gone. I have replaced my Tanks with Tees and now am adding a sweater soon I will be taking out my Winter jackets. Lets not dwell on that though lets just party in the sun that is shining right now on a beautiful SJ day!

Whenever we have a nice day I try to get my dog Billy Jean out for a walk. Walks are her 2nd Fav. thing (treats being her first). I had a ton of errands to do today and it is always great to go on a nice walk and collect my thoughts after a busy day.

These floral oxfords I ordered from Forever 21 online. I was so pleased when they came in. They are by far my favorite shoe in my closet right now and since they will soon be packed away for the Winter I am making sure to wear them ever sunny day.

For most Fall is here when school starts for themselves or their kids but for us working gals it is here when we have our first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season. I was very excited to have mine this week almost too excited to get a picture before I had a taste. It was delicious by the way especially when accompanied by the ever so yummy Red Velvet Whoopi Pie.

After having my first taste of Fall I decided it was only proper to go to my Mom's garden and pick out a pumpkin. As you can see they are still green but will turn Orange by October.

I am very proud to say this entire ensemble cost me less than $70!

I find it easier to dress up in the fall then any other season of the year. I am a flip flop and t-shirt gal in the Summer, a jacket fanatic in the Winter, rubber boots are my life in the Spring and Fall is my time for heels.

My favorite part of this dress is the details on the back. I love the bow and visible zipper. I found this Dress at the H&M in Halifax last April and fell in Love. Dressing up is easy when you find great dresses like this one. I give it an A+ for comfort!

Movie Night-The Help

I recently read the book The Help and couldn't put it down. It kept me up very late some evenings because it was just that good. Now with the Movie out in theaters it is like seeing the book come to life. If you have not read the book or seen the movie I advise you to do so immediately you will not be disappointed.

When you do read the book be prepared that you will suddenly want Coke in a glass bottle and some good southern cooking. You will also feel the heat of the Mississippi and discover that you never want to do the cooking or the cleaning for anyone but your husband.

When I head out to see a movie in theaters I like to be comfy. Let's be honest if I was seeing this movie at home I would be on the couch in my pj's with my feet up. Since it is not socially acceptable to go to the movies in pj's I find the next best thing. Clothes I can sit and move in and fabrics that are soft.

A Nautical Theme

Out with the Old in with the New

Remember the Cottage my Hubby & I are turning into our dream home? Thought I would share and up to date photo and of course the first photo ever taken of the *house. We both still can't believe the changes that have been made after a lot of hard work.
We are currently selling our present home and hoping to move into this one ASAP. There are still a lot more changes to take place (we plan on adding on an extension) in the future but I am so proud of the result thus far.
I will hopefully be able to share inside results soon after we move in and furnish it. If you ever have a chance to turn and old house into a new one take it. The whole experience will amaze you!

Moving Forward

I am BACK! Most recently I went through a difficult and VERY unfashionable time in my life. I needed a break from blogging, from work, from life.
At 15 weeks pregnant I had a miscarriage and was devastated. I lost myself for a while. Now I am ready to be found.
I just recently went back to work, back to the gym, and back to the mall! I have decided it is time...time to take off the sweats and start blogging again.
This will be the only post about this....my blog is more about FASHION then the personal details of my life and I want to keep it that way.
I am glad to be back and excited to check out all of your new blog post and updates expect to hear from me soon.

I LOVE all of the Bright colors this season and this dress is one of my fav`s. My Mom bought it for me in the States it is by one of my favorite name brands XOXO. The material is satin which makes it light weight and very comfortable. I paired it with this cardi I found on sale at Old Navy a few weeks ago because even tho it was sunny there is still a chill in the air.

To say I am not happy with the weather right now is a big time understatement...I am furious. Someone needs to tell the weatherman it is MAY. "April showers brings May flowers"...no where in that saying mentions a ton of rain. Cold...wet...rain.

I decided the only way to get over this damp weather is to start wearing sunny bright clothing...then maybe the sun will see me and come out. Worth a try right!?

Where are you SUN?

It has been non stop rain in SJ and the moment the sun even decides to peak out I run out for a picture or two and then wish I was wearing pastels instead of dark day colors. I took these photos on Sunday which turned out pretty at the end of the day. Today is another rainy cold day here in SJ and I doubt you want to see a pic of me in two sweaters, sweat pants, and two pair of socks, lol.

I thought would share these photos with you as I anxiously wait for it to warm up in my house. I don't plan on leaving the house today it is just too cold. As soon as the mailman arrives I will be running out to grab my fashion magazines and then cuddling up to catch up on this months fashion.

Today when dragging around brush and trees to help clean up my Parents property I started to sing this song (which I love btw) and my Mom joined in. We got odd looks from my Hubby and Father but it felt like the right time to belt out this tune.
I am so happy to be a WOMAN! I love the shoes, the purses, the glitter aren't we lucky girls! Before dragging out brush and trees I was look very womanly as you can see below in my favorite new SHOES!

I had to have this crisp white Jacket as soon as I laid eyes on it at the Le Chateau Outlet here in town. I love the color white but I have a huge problem keeping my white duds clean. I hope I have better luck with this new jacket

All in all it was a great weekend off (and still is since it isn't quite over yet). Today I am heading out to gas up our jeep and run a couple of errands before we go back to work tomorrow. It is a gorgeous day out and I hope it stays that way for the rest of the week!

A Night Out

Somehow a night out with my Hubby always begins with a nice quiet dinner date and ends with shopping, running for errands, and at the Wal-mart. I know so romantic. I have learned that flats are usually better than heels for these nights out and how to dress to impress but comfortable enough to run around with a shopping cart.

It was a chilly evening so my Red Cardi helped to keep me warm. For me here in Good ole NB cardigan`s are essential for Spring and early Summer. We have a lot of chilly and foggy days and I think they are one of my most used items in my closet.

Even though our date nights end with us running store to store I still love them. It is great to get a night out even when you are an old married couple. We always have fun and enjoy each others company.

Tonight, however, we are staying in. I have some magazines to catch up on Elle, InStyle, and LouLou. So I will be relaxing with those which sounds great to me. :)

Busy Beaver

   I have been a busy beaver this week getting my house ready to put on the market and helping with the finishing touches on our cottage we have been renovating and hopefully moving into soon.
   Just as much as I love fashion I also love decorating and am so excited to move into this little place and start making it my own. I thought I would share with you some more pictures of the it so far.
   The picture above is our new siding it is called Prairie Gold. As soon as I seen this color I wanted it and it fits the house perfectly.

This is my cupboards and wood counter top. I got a lot of mixed responses when I told people I wanted to paint my cupboards olive green but I am super happy with the result.

My Mom hooked me to the idea of having some open cupboards and a plate rack. She has these in her home so this idea was definitely stolen. She also has one of these old farm sinks and I was so happy when she found me one.

This beam was a surprise to me. I was not expecting it at all and love it. The corbel matches the ones that use to be on the outside of the house. It is special to have these be apart of the renovations because these corbels made me fall in love with the house.

Having my bed in a loft is a childhood dream come to life. We made this back wall and accent wall a painted it a deep purple. I plan on complimenting it with lighter purple pillows and bed spread and am so excited to decorate up here.

Now it is time to share with you pics from the first time I went to see what we now call Maple Cottage.

The old living room with the old stairs. We made the loft it use to be a full upstairs.

The old creepy upstairs. My Mom always told us ``you can do anything you set your mind to`` and after this project I am finally a believer in that statement.

Now that our home is on the market the plan is to sell and move into Maple Cottage. Next spring we will work on adding an extension to make this our home forever. :)

Rocking my Maxi

Last Evening I decided to rock out my Maxi skirt that I bought last year at Old Navy. This skirt was an impulse buy and when I got home it went in my closet and stayed there. This skirt remained forgotten until a couple of days ago while browsing through my People Style Watch Magazine. There was this pic below of Olivia Palermo:

As soon as I looked at this pic I remembered my Maxi skirt and leather jacket so I decided to try it myself. I must say I am very happy with the results and the fact that I didn`t have to buy anything new to pull off this outfit.

Chilly Days

We have been having wonderful sunny days which I hate to complain about but they have been still too chilly for a lot of the in season spring looks. So I have been getting my last wear out of my winter wardrobe before I put it all away til next Winter.

I took some outside pics but I have really been spending most of my time indoors. When I am at home I like to be comfy. Whether I am scrap-booking, reading or even having company I like to be able to relax in what I am wearing.

Errand Day

I work shift work so my first day off starts at 0730am after working a 12 hr shift so the first thing I usually do when I get home is SLEEP. I have to make myself get up though after only a couple of hours so I can sleep again that night.
Today is my first day off and since I am coping with lack of sleep and a ton of things to get done around the house and errands to run I like to dress very comfortably.

My sister knowing how much I am into army print bought me this cute tee on her last trip to Calais, ME. I thought it paired with my flats would be the perfect outfit for a day of cleaning, grocery shopping, and errands.

Internet Problems! This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that our internet has just stopped working. How annoying don't they know I have a blog to keep up with? Well....probably not....but still. Spring Sunday in the Mud

Today finally felt like Spring with the temp 5 degrees warmer it is almost time to pack away my Winter coats! Now it is going to snow again because I just typed that...sigh. Ocean Breeze

After a lovely meal (Rosemary's Sunday) at Cora's with Family we headed back home to have a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon. This week has been busy and trying on me. I have been feeling as if I am being yanked and pulled in every direction.    Long time no post! I have been crazy busy between visiting company, work, the gym, and renovating, I know no excuse! I am in the middle of my work shifts right now (Two 12hr nights left and then 14 days off, woot, woot). I am so excited for my time off it has been a long time coming and it starts this SUNDAY.
   Wondering why I am all "carried away" well like most of you I adore Sex and the City. I watch my Seasons on DVD all the time looking for ideas I can copy cat from Carrie. When I was watching last weekend I noticed her very cute handbag and thought I would show you my copy cat one.
   I am Canadian but I love the States so years ago my Mom brought this cute purse back from Vacation for me. It is all beads and is even more gorgeous is person.

I grabbed it for a quick trip to the corner store for treats and decided to snap a few photos to share with you.

I am having the perfect day. I woke up grabbed my gym bag and headed to Body Flow this morning which is a mix of Tai Chi, Yoga, and Pilates. After relaxing my mind, body and soul I took a hott shower then headed in town for a skinny latte and to visit some blogs at Starbucks. After this a little shop then home for a little while then back to the gym for Zumba tonight. I am a whole new person thanks to the gym and I am still really enjoying it. Hope I can keep it up the good work. :)

Across the Border

   Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Mine is okay...I am working and the weather man(or woman) is calling for not 1 but 2 big storms to hit SJ. The first one tonight and the 2nd on Tuesday. I am so ready for the snow to melt away. It just get you down...you know?
   Well I needed a pick me up yesterday something to take me out of my Winter coma. The solution a trip to Maine for a little shop. My Mom, Sister and I took the hour long drive to Calais, Maine. Don't get too excited there is only a Mardens and a Wal-mart there. However I heart Mardens for selling name brands at extremely low prices.
   I thought I would share with you 2 of my purchases.

Purchase #1 Joan Boyce "Denise" booties. Joan Boyce (jewelery designer loved by Mariah Carey) designed these cute boots with me in mind. Well maybe not but I fell in love at first sight. I took these babies home for $29.99.

My second purchase: Twiggy London satin sneakers with velvet shoe laces. Twiggy (famous model) designed these for a girl like me. The kind of girl that loves to dress up but also knows how to dress down stylishly. These dressy sneaks came home with me for only $9.99.

I bought lots of other great things but theses 2 were my fav. Now I just need a day off work to wear them. Hurry up Wednesday!

Anchors Aweigh

I am drawn to all things nautical so when I caught sight of this shirt with anchors all over it I had to have it. I am sure by spring I will be adding a lot more sailor type pieces to my wardrobe because Nautical is back.

Joe fresh brought in lots of stripes and nautical pieces with their spring collection and that is actually where I found this top. Forever 21 also brought in stripes, Popeye shirts, and this super cute boat purse(click here).

So this spring we all need a boat or at least start looking like you have one. Depressing fact: I am starting to wear spring garments when there is still over a foot of snow outside and more to come.

I recently joined a woman's gym. I felt it was time that I get FIT and there is no better time than the present, right? Tonight for the first time I tried a Zumba class. If you have not tried this class out I encourage you to do so. It was 60 minutes of salsa type dancing and a complete blast. It is also a great mood booster, I came out smiling.

The other great thing about the gym I joined is that it is at the SuperStore the same place that sells Joe Fresh. So after a good work out I often browse for new Joe Fresh items. The other day while browsing I found this top and fell in love.

Bringing Rebel Roses to an Abandoned Church

The perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon is finding an old abandoned Church and visiting it. The snow was deep so my high boots came in handy. I felt the need to put on my florals since the snow has covered all the wild flowers around this cute little church.

This church is only minutes away from our Cottage and my Parents house so every time we pass it I always want to stop and check it out. Finally this morning while getting ready to go and visit my Parents my Hubby agreed to take me here. I knocked on the door but nobody answered.

Visiting an abandoned Church is a lot of fun. I suggest you all try it at least once. I plan on visiting again when the warm weather comes. It is absolutely beautiful and will be wonderful place to walk to and have picnics at when we move into our Cottage.

On a lighter note, how are you liking my cottage couture, comfort and warmth played a huge part in me dressing this morning. I also, however, really wanted to wear my new Forever21 jacket. This jacket is going to look great with heels and dresses but I had fun dressing it down today with winter boots and ripped jeans.

Inside the cottage I had fun trying out the new stairs to my loft. On the wall beside me is where the new octagon window will go, hopefully this week, weather permitting.

Here, I am standing in our hallway in front of one of the many new windows that were put in this week.

What is exciting about this corner of the house you may ask...the power box behind me. We now have power lines coming to the house! Wires have been run throughout the house and we are very close to having POWER!

All in all a very exciting day the only thing that has me down is a zit that just won`t die. So I am going to go get a bubble bath and do a facial and hope he is gone by tomorrow. :)

Confessions of a Saleaholic

Alright I am here to confess I am a saleaholic!!! I love getting a good deal and even more I love the excitement I feel inside when I find a deal. This week I have been shopping online and hitting up our local mall. This time of year is the hardest for saleaholics because there are so many great deals.

Just the other day I received a box full of goodies from my fav. store Forever 21. Is there any better feeling then when you get a knock on the door and a package is waiting for you...I think not. It is like Christmas morning.

I dug right into my box as soon as it arrived. the great thing about ordering online from Forever 21 is that they give you free shipping if you spend $60 and my package always arrives in 2 days so it is not a long wait.

For $60 I was able to buy 2 jackets, 2 cardigans, and a pair of flats. Had I paid regular price for these items my total would have been $160. Now you can see why I am a saleaholic.

When shopping at the mall this week I also found a ton of sales. Aeropostale had up to 70% off. I was able to buy this down filled jacket for $19.99 (regular $119.50) and a scarf, mitts, and hat to go with it at $3.49 a piece ( regular prices on these item ranged from $24.50-$34.50).

Being a saleaholic does have its dangers. One must be careful not to buy an item just because it is on sale. If you are not wearing it then it was not a good deal. This has happened to me on occasion. The fix: always take a shopping buddy with you and discuss your purchases. Help each other filter through what is a great deal versus a deal on something you don`t need or will never wear.

I am snowed in this eve so I may take a peek at Forever21.ca and will also be around to do some blog visiting. Have a fun Friday night all...and don`t forget to do some sale shopping this weekend. :)

1. I am an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) I work at the hospital on every floor. I am called a floater and I never know what floor I am going to until I get to work.

3. I am selling my 3 bedroom house this spring to move into a cottage with a loft and no closets. (I plan on making the basement a big closet until we put the extension on the next spring which will consist of 3 bedrooms and a living room).

4. I love the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant the nearest one is 4hours away and I would do the drive just to eat there.

5. I have a love/hate relationship with shoes. I love buying them but hate when I get blisters or they make my feet hurt.

6. I dress my chihuahua Billy Jean in clothes sometimes. She hates it and I love it.

7. I take a bubble bath almost everyday. It is the perfect way to de-stress.

I love Hollydays

Today I was suppose to work but I booked it off to take a much needed "Hollyday". A Hollyday is a day where I can relax and have some me time.

Nail polish! I spotted this little set before Christmas but was broke from all my Christmas shopping. Lucky for me it was in the sale section at Superstore today. Only $7.44, woot woot.

A new Mag! There is just something about having a new magazine that makes me feel great. I have a subscription to FLARE and Lou Lou (if you are a Rogers customer you can get them for a $1 a month). So I opted for Cosmo just to shake things up a little. :)

So now I am off to do my nails and flips through my mag. I guess I am not so BLAH anymore.

BIG BAD Snowstorm

My Family loves a good snowstorm. When the snow does come we tend to go out. During today's snowstorm it seemed like the perfect time to head out to my Mom's for a cup of coffee and to go check on our cottage that we are renovating. Which I told you all about in my post cottage reno.

The driveway looked beautiful so I just had to take a pic. So many exciting renos happening. It was too dark on the inside to get any good pics but I promise some will be coming soon.

   My outfit of choice today consisted of men's long johns, lot's of layers, snow pants of course, scarf, mitts, and a hat. It was not pretty so I decided not to share. Let's just say the snowstorm look is very stormy looking. :)
   Tomorrow we are heading out to pick out windows, doors, and a really cute bathroom sink I've had my eye on. Very exciting things ahead.

This comfy flannel dress always makes me feel like I am wearing one of my Dad's shirts. It is the perfect dress to relax in. Today for me was one of those curl up with a book days. Tonight though I am heading out on a dinner date with my Hubby. So I added heeled boots and my LV purse to glam up my comfy outfit.

How do you like my pretenda bob. That is what I call this hairstyle. Sometimes I get sick of my long hair and so I make a fake bob. I put my hair in a low pony and then tuck in and pin is to my head. My short layers help to give me this shorter style look. If you have long straight hair I would suggest curling it then tipping your head upside down and shaking it before putting it in the low pony and pinning it up.

Well I am all set and off to dinner. Have a good night all. I will be around to visit with some peppermint tea in hand later.

Only 3 years ago today I married my Prince Charming on New Year's Eve during one of the biggest snow storms of that season. Getting married during a storm must be good luck because we have had 3 wonderful years together and look forward to many more.

Tonight, sadly, my Hubby and I are both working 12hr night shifts (7:30p-7:30a) so we won't be able to ring in the New Year together. We are however having Chinese food from the same place we ordered our reception food this afternoon. We started this tradition last year and I hope to do it every year.

Snow Flakes&Sales

My shopping trip to Bangor, ME got snowed on. We made it safely there with clear roads and sunshine had a nice meal, a little shop, and a swim at the pool. The next morning the plan was to hit the mall, marshals and tj maxx. When I looked outside and seen the blizzard like conditions I was super disappointed. We put our Jeep in 4 wheel drive and hit the stores the mall even closed early because of the storm. For our safety we decided it was best to stay another night instead of risking the 4hr drive home.
With the storm most people stayed home so I got a ton of great buys with no crowds or line ups. I thought I would share with you a few of those great deals.

DANGER

I titled this post ``Danger`` because I knew that would be the first word out of my Sister`s mouth when she looked at this pic of me in the bathtub. Last night I looked really cute in my Christmas Plaid. My Hubby had to finish his Christmas shopping and I had to pick up a yankee swap gift for a party we are going to tonight so we headed out on the town. I brought my camera to get a pic of my fab outfit but after waiting in long lines, getting hit by shopping carts, and running in and out of stores in cold wet rain I somehow forgot to get a picture.
So here is how I ended my evening. In a relaxing bath by candle light, with a fashion magazine, a drink, and lots of bubbles.

After my relaxing bath I put on a new pair of pajama`s. They are Barbie by Joe Fresh. When I was at Super Store getting groceries I spotted these and had to have them. Even better there is a coupon for $5 when you spend $20. These pajamas are made for little girls and big girls like me who are little girls at heart.

Barbie loves Joe Fresh and so do I. My Barbie PJ`s and I spent the rest of the night wrapping. I love to unwrap presents but I really do not like wrapping them.

I somehow managed to get it all done and under the tree. So I am officially all ready for Christmas.
Today I am spending in my comfies. I need to clean the house, finish the laundry and pack our bags. Tonight is the BIG Family Christmas Party. We are busy busy til Christmas. Only 3 more days until my BIG shopping trip to Bangor I cannot wait to share all my finds with you.

I officially have camera envy! My Sister has a Canon Digital SLR and I am in love with the quality of pictures it takes. Lucky for me she brought her camera to my Mom's House and took some pictures of my Husband and I.

When you get your hands on a digital SLR camera you just click, click, click away. It is actually really addicting. Seeing the difference I now feel I should apologize for the low quality of my pictures. I try my best with the camera I have but clearly I need a better one. I love a good bargain so I am going to wait for Boxing Day sales but hopefully fingers crossed I will have a new one by the New Year.

The Holidays are special for my Husband and I. We got married on New Years Eve almost 3 years ago. We both are working 12hr night shifts this New Year's Eve but are going on a shopping trip to Bangor Maine to celebrate after Christmas. He bought me this computer (pink dell mini) I am typing on our last Anniversary because I told him my idea of starting this Blog. It took me a while to get it started but I am so happy I did and thank you followers for following me as I continue on this blogging adventure.
